MAIN DUTIES OF PLANNING & STATISTICS DEPARTMENT

 

The general manager of planning and statistics department shall undertake as second superior of Myanma Timber Enterprise. The main duties of planning and statistics department are as follows;

  • Drawing , preparation and keeping of statistics of Myanma Timber Enterprise as per nature of work sectors and preparation and submission of monthly reports regularly.
  • Drawing and submission of annual expenditure of budget funds and performance and Communication at all levels in respect of approved budget funds under long-term and Short-term investment project.
  • Drawing of budget funds of Myanma Timber Enterprise by mean of coordination and make coordination and verification with Public Construction Department, Central Equipments statistics and Inspection Department and Budget Department. Distribute approves budget funds to subordinate department of Myanma Timber Enterprise.
  • Recording, preparation and submission of finished work projects and current work projects.
  • Inspection , performance and report in respect of performance of joint-venture and 100% investment with Myanma Timber Enterprise.
  • Prepare and submit statistics reports claimed by outside organizations and international Organizations accordingly.
  • Sending of state scholars to foreign country and inland, in order to promote qualification and more skillfulness of works for staffs. Teaching staffs at training schools under Myanma Timber Enterprise in order to promote qualifications of staffs and to teach at internal course of department in order to enhance capacity of staff.
  • To audit & inspect whether operation Plan or Work should perform or not. Extraction and Saw-Milling Process Account, Budget and Financial Statement, Store Statement should draw in accordance with stipulates regulations and procedure or not.

  • Conduction of company as joint venture with Myanma Timber Enterprise by 100% investment.
  • Conduction of company as joint venture with Myanma Timber Enterprise by contribution shareholders.

 

There are two kinds of investment conductors.

  • Foreigner

 

In making the investment , the works are being conducted in detail such as hiring of land owned by Myanma Timber Enterprise and conduction on the land owned by company , hiring of building and elephant camp of Myanmar Timber Enterprise. Thus ,

 

  • (A) Agreement of Leased Land / Building / Camp
  • (B) Agreement of cooperated joint venture are to be contracted.

  • Business which will be conducted
  • Term of project
  • Amount of investment
  • Designation to provide Myanma Timber Enterprise shared profits
  • Premium for guarantee of land
  • Performance Bank Guarantee
  • Conduction by B.O.T system after the expiration of the term

 

The businesses contracted with Myanma Timber Enterprise are factories which will conduct main basic industry works. In 100% investment , shared profits are to be paid to the Myanma Timber Enterprise and in shareholding as the percentage of Myanma Timber Enterprise is to be paid to Myanma Timber Enterprise.

Contribution 1% of the Gross Income annually throughout the projects period of Contract Agreement, Land rental shall be 3 US$ per square meter per year of Lease Agreement for foreigners and 800 kyats per square per year for citizens , which are being conducted.

 

 

Objectives of Myanma Timber Enterprise Training Centres

(A) Training Centre No (1) Nanchun

  • To Obtain the best Practices on Timber Harvesting techniques to ensure sustainable development of forest resources, for Social, environmental and economic purposes according to the Myanmar Forest Policy and it’s (six) imperatives.
  • To produce dedicated and skilled forest staff in the Extraction Department, which is the main body of Myanma Timber Enterprise.
  • To train staff involved in saw - milling, wood-based industries and marketing of Timber.
  • To improve technical know - how as well as intelligence of the trainees simultaneously.

  • Harvesting Technology (Chaung Gaung / Chaung Oak ) Refresher course period (3) week.
  • Elephant utilization ( Sin Oak/ Sing Gaung ) Refresher course period (2) week.
  • Harvesting ( Timber Rangers ) Refresher course period ( 3 ) week.
  • Elephant Care, Cure and Management supervisors course period (2) week.

  • To improve the abilities of sawmill operators and wood processing operators to be able to operate safely.
  • To develop technical know –how as well as intelligence of the trainees simultaneously.
